Cloudflare Global Network is a network of data centers managed by Cloudflare located in more than 300 cities and 120 countries. The network is designed to provide fast and secure content delivery to users, being able to reach 95% of the world population within 50ms.
Every Cloudflare service runs at the edge of the Global Network, meaning that when a user makes a request to a website, the request is routed to the nearest data center. At the data center the request is processed and a response is sent back to the user. This allows websited and applications to perform better, as the data is cached and processed closer to the user which reduces latency.
The Cloudflare Global Network is also designed to protect websites and applications from DDoS attacks and other security threats, by filtering and inspecting traffic at the edge of the network before it reaches the origin server. The network is able to absorb and mitigate large-scale attacks, ensuring that websites and applications remain online and available to users. It also ensures TLS encryption and security for all traffic, protecting user data and privacy.

Differently from AWS, you don’t need to worry by setting up regions and availability zones and dont pay extra price for deploying in different locations. Once live, Cloudflare will automatically route traffic to the nearest data center, and apply fault tolerance and redundancy to ensure high availability and reliability.
